This stoplight is so great. Compared to other visual timers . . . The lights are easy to see and my toddler understands it even though he doesn't seem to completely know his colors. This helped us with the "staying in bed" issue almost immediately. I plan to use it for many other timed tasks in the future. As a former special education teacher, I know that visual cues are important for kids.

I bought one of these for my twins who were getting up way too early. This worked the first night!!!! We have been using it for 6 months now and I love it. I tell other moms about it all the time. My boys now get up and remind me if I forget to set it. We use it for night and naptime. I bought a second one for trips and downstairs timeouts. Easy to use, brilliant idea!!!!

The Stoplight Golight Timer has saved our lives! It allows us to sleep in until 7:30am on the weekends! It's AWESOME! We have a 3 year old and a 5 1/2 year old, so this hasn't happened in quite some time.

We also use it for timeouts for our 3 year old and for reading time for our 5 1/2 year old. This is definitely a useful tool for children of all ages.

The light turns "red" to have the child STOP and focus on the task at hand, and then when it's "green" the child knows that "green means GO" and it's time to move on to the next task. As a matter of fact, when I use it for my 5 1/2 year old's reading time...she typically reads for 5 extra minutes every time, because she doesn't realize the light has turned green (since I don't use the audible alarm). Haha! Gotcha! Love that I can control good behavior tasks (waking up late (for mom and dad), reading, teeth brushing, etc.), as well as not so good behavior tasks (timeouts, etc.) with a couple of clicks of my Stoplight Golight!

Used in my classroom for some of my AU students to help them know schedule. It worked great.

Homeschool Magic, Dana W.:

This has helped our homeschoolers with timing their seat work. Even my potty trainer knows how long to "sit and wait" with a little traffic light.

Miracle for our 2 year old, Janis B.:

This has been a miracle for us and our 2 year old! He had started getting up at 5 am ever yday and since he already had the concept of green means go and red means stop down, he picked up on the concept of this very easily. His bedtime is 7:30 so I set it for 10.5 hours so it turns green at 6 am and he has not stood up once before 6 since we got this. We plan to start slowly adding a couple minutes a night to try to get him up to 6:30. :)

Great Product, Brad C.:

I purchased this timer after reading the reviews. I only wish I'd had purchased it sooner. My four year old kept getting out of bed and waking us up 3 or 4 times a night. After getting the timer he knows that he needs to stay in bed until it turns green.

Love this timer, Regina D.:

Love this timer! My daughter abides by it and I am able to put a few more minutes on it on the weekends to get a smidgen of alone time :)

One of my favorite products, EVER! Makes naptime battles and early morning wakeups a thing of the past, Matt:  This product has been a lifesaver for both of our children. We first used this with my oldest daughter at about age 2. She would fight and battle to come out of her room at naptime, and it was a continuous battle. Even when she didn't sleep, having rest time seemed to refresh her and make her mood much improved. Enter the stoplight clock. It immediately made the clock the "bad guy." It was no longer mom or dad's rules keeping her in the room, it was the clock! Moreso, she realized quickly that if she did go to sleep, the clock would turn green much faster! This turned a daily naptime battle into a productive rest time for mom and dad, and a refresh and reset for my daughter. Now that she is older (5), she has gotten used to the concept of a daily rest time, and although she never sleeps, she still has "rest time" in her room, where she does art, or plays. She now gets a time written down on a piece of paper, and watches a clock to know when to come out - she can now understand and tell time pretty well! The stoplight clock has gone to my younger daughter, and is in use for both rest time and at night (as she had a habit of waking up at 4:30-5am). Again, it has worked wonders.

With daily use for over 3 years and 2 children, this product has held up perfectly! You will not regret this purchase.

It works for our EARLY riser, wdmshopper:

“ It works! My 2 year old son would wake up at 4:30 or 5 every morning and want "milk and a show"! He would get so tired and crabby around 11 am. We tried lots of tricks, but finally ordered this. His dad went in his room at about 4 am the first few nights and "taught" him the light when he woke up. Red means stay in bed, green means milk and a show! Now he stays in bed until 6 every morning. He jumps up and says, "it's green mommy!" He even falls back asleep while waiting for it to change and sleeps a little later once in a whle. He will always be an early riser, but this light has helped so much.”
